me and my two friends are sophomores in high school and we got early admittance into University of Hawaii West Oahu. we would be roommates and split the rent and such. i was just wondering what the price of living is over there, in Oahu, like rent, electricity, food, insurance, etc. we have a car we would share. please no advice on life or anything just tell me what it is like living there. thanks
We are looking to stay 4-5 days one island only! Don't know what month, our scedule is very flexible. Money wise...we don't have tight budget, but then we are not rich. 3 star and above hotel/resort would work as long as it has the best crystal clear, white sandy beach/oh and clean hotel/resort with bar, pool, spa. This will be a one time life opportinuty for us. We are looking for a beautiful beach, white sand preferably. I love waterfalls, where alot is green. Seeing the whales would be nice, snorking is an intrest, not into kayaking, hiking. We want more of a relaxation place. Crowds don't bother us unless it's over crowed with alot...I mean a whole lot of tourists. Night life is somewhat important, as far as bar hopping...not so much into the clubs. oh and somewhere near shopping, (souvineers) I think I got everything that we are intrested in! we need some insight of people that have been there. Thanks in advance.
Just wondering because I really want to go there this summer but I heard the plane ticket prices were expensive.
Oh I'm sorry I forgot to add that. Yeah I'd be flying from Newark.
since Hawaii was brought into the US without their consent i wonder if there are some students who don't pledge allegiance to the American flag at school.. i probably wouldn't if i was a Hawaiian.
Is it modernized/urbanized now? I've never been to Hawaii, but growing up, Hawaii's been presented to me as the "ultimate vacation spot" in tv/movies...just wondering if it's still a favourite vacation spot, and if it's all metropolitan now? Are there still village-like places in Hawaii to visit?
I am planning on moving my horse to Hawaii. Has anyone had experience in doing this? Safety, complete cost, quarantine and quarantine cost? I have no idea how to go about moving my horse. I hate to leave her behind.
I'm going to Hawaii for the first time and don't know where to go.....I'm 28, 5 months pregnant and going with my fiance who I havent seen in 4 months. Do you guys know of any places that are romantic and an ideal place for couples.
* Keep in mind we are not into the club scene, or drinking (I'm pregnant) and just want to enjoy the real beauty of Hawaii.
Thanks
